Press Releases

What is a press release?

A press release is used to inform the general public about newsworthy events surrounding your business or organisation, such as a new product, a recent acquisition or an unusual venture. A press release is submitted to local news outlets, publications relevant to your organisation A picture of a small newspaperand to general online press agencies for syndication.

Press releases are an excellent way to increase your business’ exposure for minimal outlay as the content can be published on your website and re-transmitted to other organisations for publications several times over. A press release provides an opportunity for you to “blow your own trumpet” and let the world know what is happening in your business.

Best of all, a few column inches in a magazine or newspaper thanks to a press release is far cheaper than paying for advertising space in the same publication!

Two Maldon-based churches have combined resources to bring the world-famous Alpha Course to local residents starting on the 29th September. Said Ted Mint, Senior Pastor of Christian Outreach Centre Heybridge, ‘We have run the Alpha Course a number of times in the past to great acclaim from those attending. Previous guests have told us how the course has been very useful in terms of answering some of life’s biggest questions and has allowed them to form new friendships both inside and outside of church. This opportunity to work with Pastor Rob Sefton from the Elim Church is an excellent opportunity to further improve and open the course to even more people in Maldon and Heybridge.’

Each evening of the Alpha Course features a meal, a short talk and then an open group discussion where guests share their thoughts and feelings on what they have heard. The Course is free to attend and every viewpoint is welcome.

The first part of the course starts at 7.00pm on Wednesday 29th September at the Christian Outreach Centre church building in Heybridge. FAQs

How much do you charge?

Prices are calculated on a project-by-project basis. You can find details about how I calculate my quotes on my copywriting rate card.

Can you write….?

Yes, almost certainly. I regularly write blog posts, sales emails, white papers, reports, ebooks and social media posts. I’ve also written video scripts, CVs, print articles and physical brochures. I’ve even been tricked into writing someone’s university midterm paper.

Just because you don’t see it listed here, doesn’t mean I can’t write it. Drop me a line – I’m unlikely to say no.

Do you speak any other languages?

Although I offer international copywriting services, my language skills are quite poor. I speak French and German to high school level, and I’m learning a few hundred words in Polish.

I am very good at working with people from across the world though, helping to turn their ideas into great copy – and sales.
