The global stock market has gone into meltdown following Donald Trump’s decision to slap a load of tariffs on US imports. From today, UK exports to US clients are now 10% more expensive. Apparently we’re now in an all-out global trade war. Happy Liberation Day!
As a wise man once said, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers.’ So I’m going to do my bit to calm things by offering a 10% copywriting discount on my rates for all US clients.
Yes, I realise that these tariffs only apply to physical goods, but are you really going to turn down a discount?
* Obviously UK companies are faring no better, clobbered by rising costs and tax burdens. And that’s before calculating the cost of increased tariffs.
