Ben Lloyd to appear on “Writer’s Block” radio show

UPDATE: Listen to a recording of Ben Lloyd on Writer’s Block

I have been invited to appear on the popular Writer’s Block radio show on Maldon’s Saint FM from 7pm tomorrow night (17th June). Over the course of the show I will be talking about my experiences in moving from working in hands-on IT management and support, to setting up a digital copywriting business. Since making the switch I have gone on to work with some of the world’s biggest brands.

Writer’s Block is broadcast every Tuesday night at 7pm on Saint FM

Budding writers interested in learning how to make a living from their wordsmith skills are encouraged to tune in for useful tips and tricks that could help launch their own copywriting career. Listeners scan also send in any writing-related questions, so feel free to call the studio during the show or leave a comment on the show’s Facebook page.

Hosted by local author Sarah Banham, Writer’s Block was created to combat the negative sterotypes of Essex brought about by programs like The Only Way Is Essex. The show celebrates the diverse writing talents of the county by profiling local authors, copywriters, proofreaders and publishers.

I am thrilled to have been invited to take part in the Writer’s Block show and talk about my career as a technical copywriter. I am also really pleased that I can do my part to dispel some of the negative stereotypes that are attached to Essex. We’re not all vacuous, blonde, perma-tanned morons. Our county is actually inhabited by some extremely clever and creative people – despite what certain TV programs would have you believe.

Writer’s Block is broadcast live between 7pm and 8pm every Tuesday night on Saint FM. Saint FM is available within the Maldon and Burnham area on 94.7 FM. Listeners elsewhere in the world can hear my interview via the Saint FM website (http://www.saintfm.co.uk) or the TuneIn mobile app. The show is also repeated on Sunday afternoon at 2pm.
