Classic copywriting – I wish I wrote that #1

I love this advert.

I have seen it a few times on the London Underground and I am still amazed by its simple genius. In just eight words, the copywriter has managed to touch on current affairs, celebrity gossip and the service on offer – hair loss treatments.

The advert speaks to:

  • People concerned about the current financial situation of the country.
  • People concerned about hair loss.
  • People who have noticed Dave is himself starting to lose his hair.

And the writer has managed to maintain a sense of fun throughout.

It all goes to show that even a sensitive topic like hair loss can be enlivened by a good copywriter. And as someone who has written for the hair loss industry in the past, I wish it had been me.
